For John
For someone so full of peace
To fall to such an act of hate
Seems a bitter symphony
On a beautiful life.
So full of youth and ideas
To challenge authority
With youth-like innocence
Yet simulanteously acting adult.
Your words, years later
Hold meaning to my own life
In ways I hoped you had imagined all those years ago.
What would you think of this world now?
I could just see you now
At the front lines of authority
Praising peace and love above all things.
What would you think of what you left behind?
A world without you seems empty and lost.
I wish I could have known your world.
R.I.P. John Lennon
